Pruning is an essential practice to maintain the health, safety, and aesthetic value of trees in urban environments. Although trees can naturally shed unwanted branches, defend themselves against infection, and heal their wounds, human intervention can enhance these natural processes and promote the well-being of the tree.
Regular pruning has several benefits for trees, such as removing diseased, dying, or dead branches, improving air circulation and sunlight penetration, and promoting the tree’s natural shape and structure. Pruning also enhances the safety of the tree by reducing the risk of falling branches, which can cause property damage or injury to people.
The cost of pruning varies depending on the size, condition, and surroundings of the tree. Our team offers on-site visits to provide a comprehensive assessment and a cost-effective quote that aligns with our clients’ expectations and desired outcomes.
Although trees provide many benefits to people, property, and the environment, sometimes removal is necessary as it is a natural part of their life cycle and can help achieve various outcomes in our urban environment. However, removing a tree should always be done in a responsible manner.
The cost of tree removal can vary depending on a variety of factors, including the size and condition of the tree, as well as the surrounding elements like nearby buildings and other trees, and site barriers such as the distance to the chipper. To provide a comprehensive assessment and a cost-effective quote that matches our clients’ desired outcomes and expectations, we always begin by conducting an on-site visit.
When we remove a tree, our initial price will cover taking down the part of the tree growing above ground level, leaving the stump where the tree trunk meets the roots below ground. We will then provide a second price to grind the stump, which is often necessary to clear the area for future projects, such as planting another tree, building a structure or patio, or laying sod. The price for stump grinding depends on the size of the stump and the accessibility of the stump area. Please note that stump grinders are large machines that may not be able to reach all stump locations.
While stump grinding is usually recommended, it is not always necessary. Some people may choose to leave the stump as part of the landscape, allowing it to decay over time or using it as a base for a planter.
If you choose to have your stump ground by us, you can expect to have a mound of grindings left behind, similar to a tossed bowl of salad. These grindings will settle over time and can be easily distributed as garden mix.
